Donald M. Hunt entered into practice in 1961. For the last 30 years he has specialized in the appellate area. Don began his law practice with the Lubbock predecessor of Carr, Hunt & Joy, L.L.P. whose members have joined Mullin Hoard & Brown, L.L.P. He is a graduate of McMurry University (B.A.) and the University of Texas (LL.B.) He has served as an adjunct professor at Texas Tech University School of Law for over 30 years, where he has taught Appellate Advocacy and is the Faculty Advisor to the trial and appellate interschool competition teams for the law school.
Mr. Hunt has been board certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since the inception of appellate specialization in 1987. He is also a member of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers. He is authorized to practice in a wide variety of appellate courts, from the Supreme Court of the United States on down, including all appellate courts in Texas. Not surprisingly, Mr. Hunt's practice is limited to preparation for appeal and appeals.
