Clerkships:

Minimum term is 6 weeks.

Hiring Criteria: Top 25% of class, Law Review/Moot Court or Mock Trial courses are considered positively.

Level: Only second year law students are hired for summer clerkships.

Salary: 2008 -- $1,600/wk

Summer 2005 -- 3 summer associates have been hired, 2 of whom will be primarily in the Amarillo office and 1 of whom will be primarily in the Lubbock office.

Associates:

The entry-level base compensation in 2007 was $81,000 year, plus a $5,000 signing bonus, plus other bonus potentials and a profit sharing contribution.

Partnership:

Mullin Hoard & Brown, L.L.P. is a single tier partnership and the partnership track though flexible is considered to be 7 years.

Benefits:

Medical insurance, disability insurance and term life insurance are provided to all associates. In addition, the firm pays all American, Texas, Lubbock and Amarillo bar dues as well as specialty bar association dues. The firm also pays the fees and expenses in connection with required continuing legal education.
